Burgopak Packaging Pays Off For New KAST Card

Burgopak has developed packaging for KAST’s new physical payment card that is intended to feel like a natural extension of the global financial platform’s brand: sophisticated, easily accessible, premium.

Burgopak has partnered with global financial platform KAST to design and manufacture the packaging for its new physical payment card. KAST enables users to move and spend money globally using traditional currencies, stablecoins, or cryptocurrency. The packaging brief called for an experience that would feel like a natural extension of the KAST brand: sophisticated not ostentatious, secure but easy to open, and premium in appearance and interaction.

To achieve this, Burgopak developed a bespoke version of its signature telescopic pack and mailer, featuring a custom sliding mechanism. Pulling the tab simultaneously reveals both the card and onboarding information, creating a seamless and intentional unboxing experience. Materiality and finishing played a central role in elevating the design. Premium detailing includes a debossed logo, spot UV varnish, and a black satin ribbon pull. The combination of green accents against soft-touch black board delivers a refined visual contrast and a strong first impression.

Ben Feridooni, New Business Manager at Burgopak, said: “We love working with brands that are redefining their industry. KAST differentiates itself by making digital money feel familiar and usable for everyday spending. With this in mind, it was important that the packaging felt equally distinctive and elevated. From the outset, the KAST team had a strong understanding of the relationship between brand, product and user experience, which led to clear creative direction and a smooth collaborative process throughout.”

Comments Brad Scott, Head of Cards at KAST:  “We wanted packaging that feels like a true extension of KAST. Premium, intentional, and effortless to experience. The final pack brings our platform values to life. It’s distinctive, beautifully executed, and unmistakably KAST.”
